Freemasons believe in an ethical approach to life. Our values are based on integrity, kindness, honesty and fairness. Members are urged to regard the interests of the family as paramount. However, Freemasonry also teaches and practises concern for people, care for the less fortunate and help for those in need.
A warm welcome from Jim Wilson, Group Chairman
Welcome to the new website for the Lancaster Group of Lodges and Chapters in the Province of West Lancashire.
May I thank you for visiting our new website and I hope that it will be useful and informative both to Masons and non-Masons who wish to expand their interest in all aspects of Freemasonry.
Our group is made up of 23 lodges and 11 chapters. We have five meeting places within the group: Kerneforde Hall, Carnforth; Morecambe Masonic Hall; Rowley Court, Lancaster; Silverdale Masonic Hall; and Wyrebank, Garstang.
Freemasonry has enjoyed strong links with Lancaster for more than 220 years dating back to the founding of the City of Lancaster Lodge No 281 in 1789, however, although some traditions have been upheld over the years, we are continuing to move with modern times which is clearly seen here on our new website.
I hope you enjoy your visit to our website, if you would like to find out about becoming a Freemason please contact our group membership officer Bernard Snape email@example.com who will be pleased to answer your questions and advise you on how to join our wonderful fraternity.
